Makeup Brushes 101: Five Must Haves!

Hey ladies,
Sorry for the lack of post lately! I am teaming up with a fellow MUA to do a give-a-way for you guys! We're in the works gathering the products and we will give you guys more information! Anyway let's get started...

5 Must Have Brushes!
Using good quality makeup brushes are crucial when it comes to applying makeup. It's just like buying cheaper/low quality hair. It doesn't really look good--seriously. Although good quality brushes can be on the expensive side, I'm going to provide you guys with 5 brushes I believe every girl should have. I'll list the more expensive ones to the cheaper ones. You can build your brush collection later (I have about 25-30 brushes) but invest in these first!
  1. Stippling Brush-- Used for applying liquid or powder foundation, gives a beautiful, airbrushed finish.
MAC Duo Fiber Brush #187-- $42.00 MAC Stores

Real Techniques Stippling Brush
(I own this brush and it's my FAV)-- $7.00 ULTA

E.L.F.  Studio Stiplling Brush (I own also)-- $3 Target

2. Blending Brush-- Used for eye-shadow to blend colors and remove harsh lines. You know how women's eye shadow looks airbrushed, smooth, and blended?! This is the secret.

MAC #224-- $32.00 MAC Stores

Sigma E40-- $18 Sigma

Sephora Collection #71 (I own)-- $16 Sephora

3. Angled Blush Brush-- Used for blush to give more of a precise application. Not only can you use it for blush, it's ideal for highlighting and contouring-- which is what I use mines for.
MAC #168-- $35 MAC Stores

Sephora Collection #50-- $28 Sephora

E.L.F Studio Angled Blush Brush (I own)--$3 Target

4. Flat Concealer Brush-- Used to apply concealer. I use this brush to apply under-eye concealer (which is what I use to highlight), also used to highlight the bridge of my nose, above lip and chin. I also use this brush to sculpt my brows.
Make Up Forever #176--$30 Sephora

Revlon Concealer Brush--$5.99 Walmart

E.L.F. Studio Concealer Brush (I own)-- $3 Target

5. Blending Sponge-- No, it's not a brush but it's just as good, if not better. From applying foundation, blending, highlighting, contouring, the blending sponge is by far one of the best tools out there! (Used best when damp).

BeautyBlender (Original beauty blender & the BEST!)-- $20 Sephora

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge-- $5.99 Ulta

Ulta Super Blender (I own)-- $4.99 Ulta

There you go ladies! Hopefully you enjoyed this post and found it informal. As you shop for brushes and not too sure what to get start off with these. I wouldn't steer you guys wrong!
